This is a full-time horticulture apprenticeship with a small, local landscaping and gardening business based in the Woden area. The role will be mostly horticulture and gardening, with occasional landscape construction work. You'll get experience across a good variety of jobs rather than doing the same thing every day.
Key responsibilities
General gardening and garden maintenance
Planting, pruning and caring for plants
Weeding, mulching and garden preparation
Turf and lawn work
Hedge and tree maintenance
Irrigation and general garden care
Occasional landscape construction and installation work
Learning how to use a range of tools and equipment
Working alongside an experienced landscaper and completing your formal apprenticeship training
About you
Reliable and ready to work
Genuine interest in horticulture and working outdoors
Willing to learn and take direction
Takes pride in their work
Valuable attitude and works well as part of a small team
Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors in all conditions
Previous experience is not necessary
A White Card, Asbestos Awareness Card and Silica Awareness Card would be a bonus
Police check will be required as part of the employment process
