An opportunity exists to join an established, supportive, and fun team within a family-based environment. This is more than just a job – you become part of the family.

You will be supporting a very social 25-year-old young man with cerebral palsy who has a fabulous sense of humour and a thoughtful, considerate nature. Support is provided in a fully equipped home-based setting with all necessary assistive equipment.

About the Role

You will be paid to have fun while providing hands-on support to assist this young man to live his best life. His interests include:

· Swimming

· Ten-pin bowling

· Gym sessions

· Music

· Adventures in his Wheelchair – Exploring the Community

· Beach outings

· Making Memories

This is an active, hands-on role.

Key Responsibilities

· Assistance with activities of daily living, including full personal and hygiene care

· Capacity building and encouraging independence

· General household duties (e.g. laundry, tidying)

· Supporting attendance at social activities, therapy appointments, and community access

· Occasional prospects to travel (rare)

· Extremely fit and healthy, with the ability to safely perform manual handling tasks

· Positive, reliable,

· Enjoys an active lifestyle and engaging with the community

· Able to work as part of a close, committed team

⏰ Conditions:
Versatile casual (but steady) hours
Opportunity for additional hours for the right person
Shifts vary based on needs and availability

Must Have (Support will be given to obtain)

· CPR/First Aid Certificate

· Blue Card/Yellow Card/Police Check (one of – assistance will be provided)

· Yearly Flu Vaccination

Pay: $30.00 – $50.00 per hour
