We are currently seeking a qualified, reliable, and motivated Light Vehicle Automotive Tradesman to join our team.
Key Responsibilities
Perform routine logbook servicing, maintenance, and safety inspections on a wide variety of light vehicles.
Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and electronic faults using up-to-date diagnostic equipment.
Execute mechanical repairs including brakes, suspension, steering, engines, transmissions, and cooling systems.
Conduct road tests to verify diagnosis and ensure work quality post-repair.
Maintain accurate repair notes, time tracking, and workshop records.
Keep work areas clean, orderly, and compliant with WHS regulations.
Assist and mentor apprentices when required.
Qualifications & Requirements
Trade Qualification: Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology (or equivalent recognised trade qualification).
Driver’s Licence: Current, valid Australian manual Driver’s Licence.
Experience:
Demonstrated experience as a light vehicle mechanic in a busy workshop environment.
Technical Skills: Robust fault-finding/diagnostic ability and proficiency with modern scan tools.
Work Ethic: High attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and a pride in your work.
Communication: Clear verbal and written communication skills to interact with service advisors and team members.

Pay: $56,081.75 – $80,000.00 per year
