Description

Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated Yard Person to join our manufacturing team in Smeaton, Victoria. This permanent, full-time role is essential for maintaining the efficiency of our production operations.

The Yard

Person will be responsible for managing materials and ensuring a safe and organised yard workplace, contributing to the overall success of our manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities:
Assist in the loading and unloading of materials and products in the yard.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the yard area.
Conduct regular inspections of yard equipment and report any issues.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
Support the production team by providing materials as needed.




Record inventory levels and assist with stock management.

Qualifications and key selection criteria:
No formal education required; however, a basic understanding of manufacturing processes and being mechanically minded is advantageous.
Entry-level experience in a similar role is preferred but not essential.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
Positive communication skills and a proactive attitude.
Willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks.
Forklift license, working at heights ticket, and confined space ticket is preferred but not essential (as relevant training can be provided).
Demonstrate organisational values of Passion, Honesty, Accountability and Boldness.
Be physically capable of working in a manufacturing environment involving frequent stair climbing and extended periods of standing and walking.
Be able to safely work in dusty settings while following required safety controls and personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements.
