The Role May Include

Conducting WHS and facility inspections within schools and other education environments.

Installing machinery and equipment in schools, TAFEs and Universities.

Inspecting TAS workshops, technology areas and other specialist teaching facilities.

Inspecting plant, machinery and associated safety systems.

Assisting with preventative maintenance and servicing of workshop machinery.

Identifying hazards, compliance issues and prospects for improvement.

Reviewing machine guarding, emergency stops, isolation arrangements and safety exclusion zones.

Assisting with workshop layouts and safety improvement projects.

Reviewing risk assessments, Protected Operating Procedures (SOPs), signage and other WHS documentation.

Assisting schools to develop practical corrective-action programs.

Providing advice and support to teachers, school leadership, property teams and other stakeholders.

Assisting with staff training, induction and competency programs.

Preparing inspection notes, photographs, service records and reports.

Travelling to client sites throughout NSW and, from time to time, interstate.
