Key responsibilities
Prepares asset, liability, and capital account entries by compiling and analysing account information.
Preparing income tax returns for all business structures.
Tax planning with clients.
Preparing financial statements including balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and other reports.
Substantiates financial transactions by auditing documents.
Maintains accounting controls by preparing and recommending policies and procedures.
Reconciles financial discrepancies by collecting and analysing account information.
Maintains financial security by following internal controls.
About you
A minimum of 2 - 3 years' experience in an External Accounting workplace, or a skilled services firm within Australia.
A tertiary qualification in Accounting, Business and/or Commerce.
Completion or near completion of CAANZ Program is advantageous.
Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate with a variety of internal and external stakeholders.
Experience using Xero, MYOB and other computer based accounting software.
Have advanced excel and word skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
Be self-motivated and able to meet tight deadlines.
