We are seeking an experienced Industrial or Automotive Spray Painter for a full time, long-term position within a busy workshop setting.
This role would suit someone who takes pride in their workmanship, works well as part of a team, and is comfortable handling a variety of surface preparation and spray painting tasks.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare surfaces for coating and painting applications.
Apply industrial and automotive coatings using appropriate spray-painting techniques.
Set up, operate and clean spray guns and associated equipment.
Set up machinery and equipment in accordance with production and quality requirements.
Follow quality assurance procedures and maintain consistent finishing standards.
Perform basic maintenance and cleaning of painting equipment.
Safely hang and remove components for preparation and coating.
Maintain a clean, organised and safe workshop environment.
Manage multiple tasks efficiently and plan work ahead.
Work collaboratively with other members of the production team.
Skills & Experience The successful candidate will have:
Proven experience in automotive and/or industrial spray painting.
Sound knowledge of surface preparation and coating processes.
Good understanding of spray-painting techniques and gun setup.
Ability to follow quality standards and production requirements.
Current forklift licence.
Good physical fitness, with the ability to bend, stretch and lift components as required.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Basic mechanical/equipment maintenance capability.
Good organisational and time-management skills.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
