Our client is a leading civil contractor delivering a diverse portfolio of infrastructure, roadworks, bulk earthworks, subdivisions, drainage and utility projects across North Queensland. Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of work, they are seeking a driven Site Engineer or Project Engineer to join their Townsville team.

Whether you're an emerging Site Engineer looking to take the next step or an experienced Project Engineer seeking greater responsibility, this role offers excellent project exposure, career development and long-term stability.

Your new role

Working closely with the Project Manager and Site Supervisor, you will play a key role in the successful delivery of civil construction projects. You'll be involved in project planning, subcontractor management, QA, cost control, reporting, technical support and day-to-day site coordination. These responsibilities align with engineering and project delivery functions outlined in internal civil engineering position descriptions.

Key Responsibilities
Coordinate and monitor construction activities on site.
Manage subcontractors, suppliers and project resources.
Review drawings, specifications and project requirements.
Maintain project documentation, QA records, ITPs and RFIs.
Monitor project progress,



costs and programme performance.
Assist with variations, forecasting and reporting.
Support site safety, environmental and quality compliance.
Liaise with clients, consultants and project stakeholders.
Assist with surveying, set-out and project handover documentation.

What you'll need to succeed
Degree qualified in Civil Engineering.
Experience as a Site Engineer and/or Project Engineer within civil construction.
Exposure to roads, subdivisions, bulk earthworks, drainage or infrastructure projects.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
Sound understanding of quality, safety and project controls.
Current Driver's Licence and White Card.
