DR Render is seeking an experienced and reliable Solid Plasterer to join our team on a full-time basis. The successful candidate will work across residential and commercial projects, carrying out high-quality rendering and solid plastering work in accordance with project specifications and Australian workplace standards.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Prepare internal and external surfaces for plastering and rendering.
Apply solid plaster, cement render and other protective and decorative coatings.
Mix and prepare plaster, render, cement and other materials to the required consistency.
Apply base coats, finishing coats and textured finishes using hand tools and appropriate equipment.
Level, smooth and finish rendered surfaces to achieve the required finish.
Install and finish corners, straight edges and architectural details where required.
Repair cracked, damaged or deteriorated plaster and rendered surfaces.
Read and interpret plans,
specifications and job requirements.
Measure work areas and calculate quantities of materials required.
Operate and maintain plastering tools and equipment safely.
Ensure completed work meets required quality standards.
Maintain a clean and secure work environment and comply with WHS requirements.
Work independently and as part of a team to complete projects within required timeframes.
Skills and Experience
Previous experience as a Solid Plasterer / Renderer.
Robust knowledge of rendering, plastering and surface preparation techniques.
Experience producing smooth, textured and other specified finishes.
Positive attention to detail and workmanship.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Good understanding of workplace health and safety requirements.
Reliable, punctual and physically capable of performing the duties of the position.
