About the Role

We are seeking a motivated Accountant to join a professional accounting team in Mackay on a full time basis.

This opportunity would suit someone looking to develop their accounting career within a supportive environment, with exposure to a diverse client base and opportunities to strengthen their technical and professional capabilities.

Key Responsibilities
Prepare financial statements, tax returns and client reports.
Assist with the administration and accounting requirements of Self-Managed Super Funds (SMSFs).
Support month-end and year-end accounting activities.
Work alongside senior accountants to deliver accurate and timely client outcomes.
Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and efficiencies.
Develop technical knowledge across a range of accounting and taxation matters.
Communicate with clients and internal stakeholders as required.

About You





The successful candidate will ideally have:
A degree in Accounting or a related discipline.
Experience with accounting software and cloud-based accounting systems.
Strong analytical and attention-to-detail skills.
Valuable written and verbal communication abilities.
A positive, professional attitude and willingness to learn.
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
