Stanthorpe Hospital in Queensland is seeking a Registered Midwife for a four-week contract position running from late August through September 2026. This is an excellent prospect to contribute to maternity care in a regional healthcare setting, working up to 80 hours per fortnight on a salary of AUD58.95 to AUD76.20 per hour. The role is based in Stanthorpe, with travel support provided for those commuting from Brisbane.

Preferred Requirements
Current registration as a Registered Midwife with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia
Demonstrated experience in midwifery group practice (MGP) models
Competence in foetal surveillance and interpretation of cardiotocography
Cannulation skills and ability to manage intravenous access
Willingness to travel between Brisbane and Stanthorpe for the contract duration
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor of Midwifery or equivalent qualification recognised by NMBA
Current completion of or enrolment in foetal surveillance education or equivalent training
Experience working in regional or rural maternity services is advantageous
