Procurement Officer | Perth, WA | Mining & Resources

We're working with a number of clients across mining, resources, energy and infrastructure in WA who are hiring Procurement Officers. Roles come up on both a permanent and contract basis.

About the Role

You'll sit within the supply chain team and look after the day-to-day buying activity for site and project operations.

Typical duties include:
Raising and managing purchase orders end to end
Sourcing quotes and comparing suppliers on price, lead time and availability
Working with site and maintenance teams to understand what they need and when
Following up suppliers on deliveries and sorting out issues when things run late
Keeping supplier and pricing data accurate in the system
Supporting the wider team with contract renewals and preferred supplier agreements
Making sure buying activity follows company procedures and delegation limits

What we're looking for




Previous experience in a procurement, purchasing or buying role
Background in mining, resources, construction, energy or a related industrial sector
Confident using an ERP system. Pronto, SAP, Ellipse, JDE or similar
Positive with Excel and comfortable working through data
Strong communicator who can chase things up without annoying people
Organised and able to juggle a lot of open orders at once
Full working rights in Australia
