We are currently working with a leading private credit fund that is continuing to grow its real estate lending platform in Melbourne. The fund provides private credit solutions across a range of commercial real estate transactions, with deal sizes typically ranging from $5m to $100m.
We are looking for a Credit Analyst / Associate to join the investment team, with exposure across the full transaction lifecycle from initial assessment and structuring through to execution and portfolio management.
Responsibilities
Analyse and assess new real estate lending prospects
Undertake detailed financial, cash flow and credit analysis
Assist with structuring transactions and assessing risk / return
Prepare investment and credit papers for Investment Committee
Work closely with originators, borrowers, advisors and other stakeholders
Support the execution and settlement of transactions
Monitor existing investments and provide ongoing portfolio analysis
Requirements
Experience in real estate credit / lending / investment or consulting
Solid financial modelling and credit analysis skills
Ability to assess complex transactions and identify key risks
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Commercial mindset with an interest in private credit and alternative lending
Candidates may come from a bank, private credit fund or consulting/advisory firm, provided they have strong modelling experience and an interest or experience in real estate debt.
