Niji Sushi Bar Kingsford offers a vibrant sushi train and à la carte dining experience, combining contemporary Japanese cuisine with traditional Izakaya flavours and contemporary Western influences.
We are looking for Casual Waitstaff to join our front-of-house team.
Location: Kingsford, NSW
Starting rate: $33.05/hr (Casual)
Availability: Monday to Friday availability preferred (min. 20+ hrs/week)
About the Role
As part of our service team, you’ll be the friendly face that welcomes guests and ensures they enjoy a seamless dining experience. You’ll present menu recommendations, take orders, serve dishes with care, and work closely with our bar and kitchen teams.
Key Responsibilities
Warmly greet and seat guests
Present menu items and make thoughtful recommendations
Take and process orders using our POS system
Serve food and drinks with correct utensils and presentation
Explain dish ingredients, cooking styles, and special items
Assist with table setup, cleaning, and resetting
Organise and prepare takeaway orders
Maintain hygiene and food safety standards
Requirements
RSA certificate (Responsible Service of Alcohol) – Required
At least 1 year experience in hospitality or customer service (Japanese restaurant experience highly regarded)
Intermediate English communication skills
Understanding of food hygiene practices
Must be over 18 years old
Work Location: In person at Niji Sushi Bar Kingsford
Ability to commute/relocate:
Kingsford NSW 2032: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
