An exciting opportunity exists for a passionate Casual Chef de Partie to join The Gallery Café culinary team at the Art Gallery of NSW.

Reporting to the Sous Chef and Head Chef, you will join a successful, professional and highly regarded hospitality group operating at some of Australia’s most iconic venues, including the Australian Museum, Melbourne Museum, Queensland Museum, Sydney Theatre Company and the Art Gallery of NSW.

This is a casual Level 6 position, offering approximately 38 hours per week across a Wednesday to Sunday daytime roster.

Based at the Art Gallery of NSW
Casual position (Grade 5, Level 6).
Approximately 38 hours per week, Wednesday to Sunday daytime roster
Work closely with the Sous Chef and Head Chef to ensure efficient food production and quality control
Prepare and present high-quality café food in a rapid-paced environment
Grilling experience is highly valued
Maintain the highest standards of food presentation, quality and cleanliness
Contribute to menu changes inspired by gallery exhibitions

About you
Certificate III in Commercial Cookery, or equivalent relevant experience
Experience working in a fast-paced café, restaurant or events environment
Strong grilling and service skills are highly regarded
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
A genuine passion for cooking and willingness to learn current skills
Valid working rights in Australia
