Creno Construction is looking to expand and hire qualified carpenters to work across a diverse range of quality residential projects. You will work as part of a small, motivated building team on residential construction including renovations, extensions, new homes, high-end residential construction and bespoke carpentry.
Key responsibilities
Read and interpret architectural drawings, engineering plans, specifications and details, and accurately set out work from these documents
Produce high standard workmanship with strong attention to detail
Work independently, organise your own tasks and complete work to a high standard without constant supervision
Work effectively as part of a small, motivated building team and communicate respectfully with builders, supervisors, apprentices and other trades
Teach, guide and support apprentice carpenters and less-experienced team members
Identify construction issues, work through solutions and communicate problems early
Present yourself professionally on site and when dealing with clients, suppliers and other trades
Maintain a secure and organised work environment
About you
Completed a recognised site-based carpentry apprenticeship and hold a relevant Certificate III qualification
Demonstrated experience within residential construction
Hold a valid White Card and demonstrate a solid understanding of workplace health and safety, PPE, site procedures and maintaining a safe and organised work setting
Hold a valid driver's licence and have reliable access to a suitable trade vehicle capable of carrying your tools and equipment to site each day
Own and maintain your own quality trade tools and equipment appropriate to your level of experience
Available to work typical site hours of 7:00am–3:30pm, Monday to Friday, with the flexibility to work until approximately 5:00pm when required
Ideally reside within approximately 30–40 minutes of Mentone VIC 3194
Have full Australian working rights and be eligible to work under Creno's available employment or subcontractor arrangements
Consistently punctual, reliable and committed to maintaining agreed working hours and project deadlines
