We are partnering with a leading global engineering consultancy to place a Senior Project Planner on a major iron ore construction program in the Pilbara. The project is in active execution and the planning function sits at the centre of how delivery is tracked, reported and managed across a large and complex construction environment.
This is a substantive role for an experienced planner who wants to be genuinely embedded in a live program — not a back-office reporting function.
About the role
The Senior Project Planner will work across the full planning lifecycle, providing schedule governance and reporting across a major construction program. Key responsibilities include:
Verifying subcontractor progress and updating the Project Master Schedule in line with project governance requirements
Baseline maintenance and change management across the program
Earned Value Management, S-curves, resource histograms and progress trending and forecasting
Resource analysis and forecasting
Managing the interface between the cost system and Primavera P6
Chairing and supporting Interactive Planning Sessions with construction and project management teams
About you
We are looking for an experienced planning skilled with:
Minimum 10 years of project planning experience across major construction or resources programs
Robust Primavera P6 capability — this is non-negotiable
Advanced Excel skills
Solid understanding of baseline management, change management, schedule development, risk analysis and Earned Value Management
Mining or underground construction experience preferred
Familiarity with Netpoint and Acumen Fuse is advantageous
Comfortable working in a FIFO construction workplace and engaging directly with site and project management teams
