This is an excellent opportunity for a chef who enjoys working in a hands-on kitchen workplace and takes pride in delivering consistently high-quality food. You will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of the kitchen.
Key responsibilities
Preparing and cooking meals to a consistently high standard
Managing day-to-day kitchen operations
Maintaining food quality, presentation and portion control
Menu preparation and contributing new ideas
Stock control, ordering and minimising food wastage
Maintaining high standards of food safety, hygiene and cleanliness
Working efficiently during busy service periods
Training and supporting other kitchen staff where required
Ensuring compliance with food safety and workplace health and safety requirements
About you
Has proven experience working as a Chef in a commercial kitchen
Has strong knowledge of food preparation and cooking techniques
Can work independently and confidently manage a kitchen
Has excellent time management and organisational skills
Takes pride in food quality and presentation
Is reliable, professional and has a robust work ethic
Can work effectively as part of a team
Has a positive attitude and enjoys working in a busy hospitality environment
Holds relevant food safety qualifications and/or formal culinary qualifications (preferred)

Benefits
$80,000 – $85,000 + superannuation, depending on experience
