About the role

Victorian Transport Company is offering an excellent opportunity for a motivated Junior Heavy Vehicle Mechanic to join our team in Brooklyn, Victoria. This role is ideal for someone looking to build a long-term career in the heavy vehicle industry while gaining hands-on experience working with a modern fleet of over 50 commercial vehicles. You will work alongside experienced mechanics to develop practical skills in servicing, repairs, and preventative maintenance of heavy vehicles.

Key responsibilities
Assist Head Mechanic with servicing, repairs, and maintenance of heavy vehicles and trailers
Support scheduled servicing and preventative maintenance tasks
Learn to diagnose mechanical faults in engines, transmissions, brakes, and suspension systems
Maintain a clean and safe workshop setting
Assist with maintaining accurate service records and parts documentation
Follow all workplace health and safety procedures
Actively participate in training and development as part of your apprenticeship
Truck and Trailer Washing




Driving Company Ute to collect Parts from Suppliers

About you
Genuine interest in heavy vehicles and mechanical work
Strong willingness to learn and develop technical skills
Good mechanical aptitude and problem-solving ability
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Solid attention to detail and commitment to safety
Basic computer skills
Good command of English
