Disability Youth Support Workers – ACT

Our Client:

Our client is a young male participant living with Autism Spectrum Disorder (Level 3), Mild Intellectual Disability, ADHD, Oppositional Defiant Disorder (ODD), Language Disorder, Generalised Anxiety Disorder (GAD), and Charcot-Marie-Tooth (CMT) Type E, which impacts balance, coordination, and physical endurance.

He enjoys practical hands-on activities, cooking, sports, humour, structured routines, and community participation. The ideal support workers will be calm, confident, patient, and able to provide consistent support while maintaining explicit skilled boundaries.

About you:
Previous experience in disability support, complex care or working with participants with multiple complex medical needs
Confident following individual care plans, health protocols and support procedures
Solid communication and observation skills
Able to work collaboratively with the participant, family and broader support team




Committed to maintaining participant privacy, dignity and choice
Reliable and able to commit to agreed shifts
Provide respectful, individualised support in the participant’s home and community
Assist with daily living and personal care as required

Essential requirements:

Certificate III or IV in Individual Support, Disability, Mental Health, Community Services,
Youth Work, or equivalent
NDIS Worker Screening Clearance
ACT Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) registration
Working with Children Check
Current First Aid and CPR certification
Current Australian driver's licence and reliable transport
