Food Technologist - Maternity Leave Contract
About the Company:Our client is an established food manufacturer producing pastry, ready meals, slow-cooked products, soups and salads for major Australian retailers.
About the Role:This full-time9-monthmaternity leave contractwill support the NPD team through the later stages of product development, with a focus on soups, meals and salads.
You will manage smaller NPD projects, coordinate factory trials and ensure products are successfully handed over to production.
Key responsibilities:
Coordinating factory-scale trials and product launches
Liaising with production, operations, QA and chefs
Preparing factory recipes, batch sheets and production handover documents
Developing photo standards, quality guides and manufacturing instructions
Supporting first production runs and troubleshooting scale-up issues
Completing product specifications,



trial reports and launch documentation
About You:
Qualification in Food Science, Food Technology or a related discipline
2+ years of food manufacturing or NPD experience
Experience coordinating factory trials and product scale-up
Robust technical documentation and production handover skills
Experience with short-shelf-life, chilled or meat products is highly regarded
Adaptable, hands-on and willing to learn
