Ensuring Bistro 18 is fully prepared for service, from opening through to close
Overseeing the day-to-day operation and presentation of the Halfway Kiosk
Managing bookings and large groups and maintaining clear communication with the kitchen
Monitoring service flow, food wait times and guest feedback, stepping in early when issues arise
Building positive relationships with Club members, regulars and guests
Creating a warm, welcoming environment and confidently handling guest enquiries and feedback
Developing strong menu and product knowledge within the team and encouraging genuine, thoughtful upselling
Maintaining high standards of presentation,
cleanliness, food safety and responsible service of alcohol
Supporting functions and events as required
Assisting with stock, POS, cash-up and other operational duties as required
What we're looking for
We're looking for a natural hospitality leader who enjoys being part of the service and setting the standard from the floor.
A genuinely hands-on approach to leadership and service
A confident, calm and practical leadership style
Strong communication, customer service and problem-solving skills
The ability to organise, motivate and support a team through busy service periods
Strong food and beverage knowledge and a genuine passion for hospitality
An understanding of the importance of regular guests and building relationships within a Club environment
The ability to think ahead, identify issues and keep service moving smoothly
A valid RSA certificate
Formal hospitality and coffee training will be highly regarded
Availability to work a rotating roster across day and evening shifts, Monday to Sunday
What's in it for you?
Free onsite parking
Ongoing training and development
Genuine growth opportunities within an established and expanding hospitality group
A supportive leadership team that values development
