what you'll do
Reporting to the Schools & Communities Training Program Manager, the Mental Health Training Consultant will implement statewide training programs such as STORM, SAFEMinds and Suicide Risk Continuum Training and responding to suicide distress and exposure for school staff across Victoria.
These programs aim to strengthen school staff confidence and capability in recognising and responding to mental health concerns and suicide risk in young people.
Training focuses on practical strategies to support student wellbeing and facilitate appropriate referral pathways when needed.
what you'll bring
To be successful in this role, you will:




Be an experienced and qualified adult facilitator possessing considerable knowledge and experience of schools, youth mental health and adult learning principles.
Have demonstrated experience in workforce education and training, with a strong understanding of adult learning principles and the ability to facilitate engaging and practical learning experiences for diverse audiences.
Have experience in working within or alongside the education sector including collaboration with school leaders and staff to support mental health and wellbeing initiatives.
Tertiary qualification relevant to either mental health or education and training or a relevant field, or equivalent combination of relevant training and experience is essential.
Willingness and capability to travel regularly within Victoria to deliver onsite training, as well as online training delivery.
