Monadelphous is seeking a highly experienced Contracts Specialist to support both pre-contracts and project delivery activities within our Engineering Construction (EC) division.
This role spans our multidisciplinary SMP, E&I;, fabrication, heavy lift, and civil construction portfolio across Australia.
Reporting directly to the Divisional Contracts Manager, this position will play a central role in commercial strategy, tendering, negotiations, claims and post-award contract administration across the full project lifecycle.

Key ResponsibilitiesSupport pre-contracts activities including pretender engagement, tender reviews, commercial qualifications and contract negotiations
Provide specialist contractual leadership across SMP, E&I; and civil construction projects
Manage head-contractor-side claims, variations, EOTs and commercial risk strategies
Partner with operations leaders to drive strong commercial outcomes across projects
Support subcontract development, negotiation and administration throughout the project lifecycle
Provide high-level contractual guidance to project teams and internal stakeholders
Ensure compliance with contract terms, governance requirements and Monadelphous procedures
Contribute to continuous improvement of commercial frameworks, systems and processes
Utilise InEight to manage contract administration,
documentation, variations, progress claims and commercial reporting
Assist with the commercial management of partnerships, joint ventures and acquisition opportunities, including contractual review and risk assessment
What You'll BringAt least 10 years experience in contracts/commercial roles within the Australian construction sector
Solid expertise in claims, tender support, commercial negotiations and contract strategy
Experience supporting construction delivery teams across SMP, E&I; and civil scopes
Tertiary qualifications in Quantity Surveying, Engineering, Construction Management, Law or similar
Deep understanding of Australian construction contracts, commercial frameworks and risk management
Ability to influence, guide and partner with senior operational stakeholders
