This role sits within theAntimicrobial Resistance and Foodborne Disease Section, supporting national surveillance of antimicrobial use and resistance.

THE OPPORTUNITY
We are seeking an experiencedProgram Managerto leadnational antimicrobial resistance surveillance programs.
Reporting to the Director, you will take ownership of program delivery and provide strategic and operational leadership across planning, budgets, governance, contracts, stakeholders, systems and data.
This is anEL1-equivalent / Level 2 Skilled Contractoropportunity based in Woden, ACT, through to30th June ****, with a possible 12-month extension.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead the management and strategic oversight of antimicrobial resistance surveillance programs.
Manage program planning, priorities, budgets, risks and reporting.
Manage relationships with laboratories, stakeholders and external service providers.
Oversee contracts, systems, data collection, data quality and governance.
Provide strategic advice on emerging issues and program priorities.
Lead reports, briefs,
publications, dashboards and other program outputs.
Manage program committees and governance activities.
Lead and supervise team members and contractors.
SELECTION CRITERIA
Demonstrated experience inprogram management, including managing complex programs and competing priorities.
Strongfinancial managementexperience, including program budgets and financial oversight.
Demonstratedstrategic planningcapability and the ability to translate objectives into practical program outcomes.
Highly developedstakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships across diverse stakeholder groups.
Ability toquickly learn and operate effectively within a complex public health environment.
Qualifications or experience in science or public health will be highly regarded but are not essential.
Baseline security clearance (minimum) is required prior to commencement.
