An established Australian food manufacturer is looking to engage an experiencedR&D; Technologiston a contract basis for an initial3-4 monthperiod.
Working closely with the broader R&D;, Quality and Operations teams, you will support product development, trials, documentation and the successful introduction of new and improved products into manufacturing.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone with previous experience working withinfood manufacturing, FMCG or a similar high-volume production environmentwho can quickly integrate into an established technical team.
The Role
Your responsibilities may include:
Supporting the development and commercialisation of recent food products
Coordinating and assisting withfactory and production trials
Developing and reviewing product specifications, formulations and technical documentation
Supporting product improvement, reformulation and cost optimisation projects
Working closely with Production, Quality, Procurement and other internal stakeholders
Assisting with ingredient and raw material assessmentsTroubleshooting product and manufacturing issues during trials and scale-up
Ensuring products meet relevant quality, food safety and regulatory requirements




Managing multiple R&D; projects and priorities within agreed timelines
About You
To be considered, you will ideally have:
Previous experience as anR&D; Technologist, Product Development Technologist, Food Technologist or NPD Technologist
Experience withinfood manufacturing or FMCG
A tertiary qualification inFood Science, Food Technology or a related discipline
Experience taking products from concept and trial stage through to commercial production
Strong knowledge of food manufacturing processes and technical documentation
Confidence working directly with production teams in a factory environment
Strong communication, organisation and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and make an immediate contribution
Availability to commence at short notice would be highly advantageous
