About the Role
We are seeking an Emergency Medicine HMO (Registrar level) for a short-term locum placement at a major regional referral health service in Wangaratta, VIC.
This contract runs from 20 to 23 July ****, covering night shifts (10:30pm - 8:30am).
You will join a well-supported emergency department within a health service of approximately 250 beds, gaining exposure to a broad and varied case mix in a collaborative regional environment.
Assess and manage undifferentiated emergency presentations across all acuity levels during overnight shifts
Provide high-quality clinical care within a busy regional emergency department
Manage acute medical, surgical, paediatric and trauma presentations as part of the ED team
Collaborate with senior medical staff, nursing and allied health across a multidisciplinary environment
Support referral and transfer coordination for patients requiring metropolitan or tertiary-level care
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation

About You
AHPRA registered Medical Practitioner
Currently practising at HMO/Registrar level in Emergency Medicine
Confident managing undifferentiated and high-acuity presentations overnight
Works effectively both autonomously and within a multidisciplinary team
Eligible to work in Australia
