Moreton Bay Boys College (MBBC) is seeking a dynamic Tuckshop Convenor to lead our busy and friendly tuckshop team.
This is your chance to bring fresh ideas, great service and delicious meals to life in a thriving school environment.
THE ROLE
As Tuckshop Convenor you'll be the heart of our food service operations—planning menus, managing stock, leading a team, and ensuring top-notch food safety and customer service.
You'll work closely with the Hospitality Manager and be supported by Café Attendants to deliver high-quality meals and snacks to students and staff.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Design and manage seasonal menus
Oversee food prep and service for online orders and internal catering
Maintain high standards of hygiene and food safety
Manage inventory, ordering, and daily reconciliation
Lead and roster staff and volunteers
Support College events with occasional evening/weekend catering




Ensure compliance with WHS regulations and College policies
WHAT YOU'LL BRING
Proven experience in tuckshop or food service management
Strong leadership and team-building skills
Excellent time management and communication
A passion for customer service and quality food
Food Safety Supervisor certificate (essential)
Current Positive Blue Card or eligible to obtain (essential)
Experience in a school setting (a bonus!)
WORK SETTING
This is a hands-on role requiring physical activity, including standing, walking, lifting, and bending.
You'll be part of a supportive and energetic team that values pride in the workplace and community spirit.
POSITION DETAILS
Type: Fixed Term, Term-time + 2 weeks
Hours: 6:30am – 2:00pm per day, 5 days per week
