A growing food manufacturing business in Melbourne's South-East is expanding following current contract wins and is looking for an experienced
Maintenance Fitter / Maintenance Technician
to join their team.
This is a hands‐on role suited to someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced production environment and wants to be part of a growing business.

About the Role
Reporting to the
Production Manager
, you will be responsible for supporting the reliability and ongoing operation of the site's plant and equipment.
The role will involve:
Planned, preventative and reactive maintenance
Mechanical fault finding and breakdown repairs
Supporting production to minimise downtime
General maintenance and repairs across plant and equipment
Assisting with continuous improvement and equipment reliability
Working with contractors and external service providers when required
Ensuring maintenance activities are completed safely and efficiently
What We're Looking For
Mechanical Trade Qualification –
Maintenance Fitter, Fitter & Turner or equivalent
Previous experience in food manufacturing, FMCG or a similar industrial environment
Strong mechanical fault-finding and maintenance skills
Experience with preventative and breakdown maintenance
Good communication skills
A
strong team player
who works well with Production and other departments
Reliable, proactive and hands‐on approach
TIG welding, fabrication or basic PLC fault-finding experience would be advantageous
