Protech are seeking a professional, resilient and customer-focused
City Patrol Officer
to join a local government organisation on a temporary contract from
August to November ****
.
This is an active, community-facing role that will see you working throughout the CBD, assisting residents, visitors and local businesses while helping to ensure compliance with parking and road use regulations.

3 Month Contract
Hours:
Monday to Friday, 8:15am – 5:00pm (one early finish per week)
No weekend or public holiday work
As a City Patrol Officer, you will spend the majority of your shift patrolling the CBD and surrounding areas on foot.
The position combines customer service, compliance, community engagement and enforcement responsibilities, making it ideal for someone who is confident communicating with people from all walks of life.
Key responsibilities
Patrol the CBD and surrounding areas to monitor parking compliance
Issue parking infringements where required
Provide directions, information and assistance to members of the public and visitors
Professionally explain legislation, regulations and compliance requirements
Manage challenging conversations and resolve disputes in a calm and respectful manner
Complete reports and maintain accurate records
Use handheld devices and mobile technology to perform daily duties




Monitor parking areas and investigate potential breaches
Promote a positive image of the organisation through exceptional customer service
Work independently while maintaining strong communication with the wider team
Maintain a high standard of safety at all times
About you
We are looking for someone who is confident, professional and able to remain composed under pressure.
To be successful, you will ideally possess:
Strong customer service and communication skills
The ability to confidently handle confrontation and difficult conversations
A skilled, courteous and diplomatic approach when dealing with the public
Confidence issuing infringements and clearly explaining decisions
Excellent written communication and report-writing abilities
Strong attention to detail and record-keeping skills
Experience using mobile devices, tablets and Microsoft Office applications
The ability to work autonomously and use sound judgement
Strong comprehension and problem-solving skills
A high regard for workplace health and safety
A current C Class Driver Licence
Willing to work outdoors in hot and humid weather conditions and walk up to
20km
per day
