We ensure the school canteen becomes the heart of each school and a hub of activity serving great food enjoyed by both students and staff every day.
We are seeking twoPart-time Cooks in Strathfield,to join our teams in our school canteens.
The role is perfect for a cafe, canteen professional with children or a local who wants school holidays off, or someone looking for a better work life balance.
Days:Monday to Friday
Hours:38 hours/week
Pay:$35/hour + super
Term-based:***** weeks/year
Key Responsibilities
Menu preparation: Prepare and pack hot meals, daily core menu items, and seasonal specials
Stock management: Ordering, rotation, and stocktaking
Catering: Onsite canteen catering and small events as required
Work in a fast-paced, process-driven, line cooking environment
Strong teamwork, communication, and interpersonal skills




Knowledge of various dietary requirements
Good time management and punctuality
Efficient kitchen operations: Follow operational timelines, manage COGS, and maintain food safety standards
Seasonal, cafe style menu
Convenient Strathfield location with nearby public transport and street parking
Uniforms provided
About you
At least 2 years' experience in a commercial kitchen, café, catering or other high volume food environment
The ability to work efficiently under pressure and at pace
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Robust attention to detail and a positive, reliable attitude
Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent)
School or canteen experience will be highly regarded
Successful candidates will need a Working with Children Check, Food Handling Certificate and Food Allergens certificate.
