We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Dental Assistant to join our busy general dental practice on a casual basis, with the potential for permanent part-time employment in the future.

About the role
You will be supporting our dentists and the wider team across a range of general dental procedures.
The role will suit someone who is organised, reliable, confident in a busy environment and able to stay calm and professional when things get rapid-paced.
The position will generally involve 2-3 days per week, with the possibility of 4 days in some weeks depending on a full dentist team roster (total of 7 chairs in operation).
Our most needed days are Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, so availability across these days will be highly regarded.
Key responsibilities include:
Chairside assisting across a variety of general dental procedures
Preparing and setting up surgeries
Sterilisation and infection control procedures
Maintaining a clean and organised clinical environment
Preparing instruments and materials
Providing friendly and professional patient care
Assisting with stock control and general clinical duties
Working collaboratively with dentists and the wider dental team
About you
Has previous dental assisting experience
Is confident working in a busy, fast-paced dental practice
Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Is reliable, punctual and well organised
Has a strong understanding of infection control and sterilisation
Takes pride in their work and presentation Is caring, professional and patient-focused
Can work efficiently both independently and as part of a team Is flexible and adaptable to the needs of the practice Is willing to learn and contribute positively to the team
Certificate Ill in Dental Assisting is preferred but not essential - relevant experience, a positive attitude and the right attitude to patient care are highly valued.
Hours & Employment
Casual employment
Generally 2-3 days per week approx.
8:30am - 5:30pm
Opportunity for 4 days in some weeks.Wednesday, Thursday and Friday are our most needed days.Potential for permanent part-time employmentin the future for the right candidate
Ideally commencing early September ****, or as soon as the successful applicant is available
