The Opportunity
Advance your consulting career and join the FinXL AI & Cloud Practice as a
Project Manager
supporting a major, long-term program of work with a leading general insurance client.
In this role, you will support delivery across core workstreams within an Enterprise AI Foundations program. You will support cross-functional technical teams in establishing core AI platforms, enabling integration of AI agents via MuleSoft, and setting up enterprise authentication for AI ecosystems.
Key Workstreams & Focus Areas
Enabling technical infrastructure for Google and Microsoft AI Services.
Driving integration of AI agents across the enterprise landscape via MuleSoft.
Establishing enterprise-wide authentication and access frameworks for AI agents.
Key Responsibilities
Workstream Delivery: End-to-end delivery, planning, and execution across assigned AI Foundations workstreams.




Project Governance: Manage delivery plans, track milestones, control budgets, and actively mitigate risks, issues, and inter-team dependencies.
Technical Coordination: Work closely with cross-functional technical teams across Architecture, Cyber Security, Integration, and Cloud Engineering.
Governance & Reporting: Drive workstreams through required decision and stage-gate forums, delivering transparent reporting to program leadership.
Key Skills & Experience
5+ years of commercial experience as a Project Manager delivering complex IT, cloud, integration, or infrastructure projects within financial services, i
deally in the general insurance industry
.
Demonstrated experience managing projects involving enterprise integration e.g. MuleSoft (preferred), cloud technology stacks (GCP / Azure), or identity/authentication frameworks.
Strong proficiency in Agile, Hybrid, and Waterfall project management methodologies using tools like Jira and Confluence.
Proven ability to manage multi-team technical dependencies, drive governance compliance, and mitigate complex delivery risks.
Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills, with a track record of bridging technical architecture concepts with program outcomes.
What's On Offer?
Initial 12-month contract with strong view to extend.
Located in Sydney CBD with a versatile hybrid working schedule (2-3 days on-site per week).
