Emanate Technology is working with a federal government organisation seeking experienced Enterprise Architects to provide architecture leadership, governance and assurance across a range of major technology initiatives.
We're interested in speaking with architects from Technology Infrastructure, Cloud, Applications, Data and AI backgrounds who can operate at an enterprise level, influence strategic technology decisions and provide architecture guidance across complex environments.
This role will see you working closely with executives, delivery teams and senior stakeholders to shape future-state architecture, reduce technology risk and ensure programs align with broader technology strategy and enterprise standards.
About the Role
Provide enterprise architecture leadership across technology, application, cloud and data domains
Develop and maintain reference architectures, standards, principles, patterns and guardrails
Create current-state and future-state architecture models and technology roadmaps
Conduct architecture reviews, governance activities and assurance assessments
Provide strategic advice on complex technology and business initiatives
Evaluate solution designs and investment proposals to ensure alignment with enterprise direction
Work with delivery teams to improve architecture outcomes and reduce delivery risk
Identify opportunities for technology rationalisation, reuse and standardisation
Support architecture governance forums and decision‐making processes
Contribute to the ongoing maturity of the enterprise architecture practice

About You
Minimum 5+ years' experience in Enterprise Architecture
Strong background in one or more domains including Technology,



Infrastructure, Cloud, Applications, Data or AI
Proven experience developing enterprise roadmaps, target-state architectures and architecture strategies
Experience conducting architecture reviews, governance and assurance activities
Strong understanding of architecture frameworks, standards and best practices
Experience producing architecture artefacts including reference architectures, standards, policies and high-level designs
Strong stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to influence technical and non-technical audiences
Ability to assess technology risk and provide practical, outcome-focused recommendations
Experience supporting large-scale digital transformation programs
Highly Regarded
Federal Government experience
Cloud architecture expertise across Azure, AWS or hybrid environments
Data and AI architecture experience
Experience supporting architecture governance boards and investment review processes
Familiarity with cyber security frameworks and enterprise risk management
