Brisbane | Senior Commercial Leadership | Renewable Energy EPC
We are partnering with a leading EPC contractor delivering the
Electrical Balance of Plant (EBoP) package on a major wind farm project in Queensland
.
They are looking to appoint an experienced
Commercial Manager
to join the senior project leadership team and take ownership of the commercial and contractual performance of the package.
The EBoP scope includes the
design, procurement, construction, testing and commissioning
of major electrical infrastructure, including:
High-voltage substations and switchyards
Underground electrical reticulation
Protection, control, SCADA and communications systems
Grid connection and network interfaces
Wind turbine electrical interfaces
Associated electrical infrastructure
Testing, commissioning and energisation
This is a complex
lump-sum EPC environment
, with multiple contractors, OEMs and delivery interfaces.
The Role
Working closely with the GM Commercial and Project Manager/Project Director this person will:
Lead upstream and downstream commercial and contract management
Manage claims, variations, EOTs and contractual notices




Lead commercial management of major subcontractors and suppliers
Identify and mitigate contractual and commercial risk
Maintain oversight of forecasting and overall commercial performance
Protect project margin within a lump-sum EPC environment
Support major procurement and subcontract negotiations
Lead commercial negotiations and dispute resolution
Provide senior commercial advice across the project leadership team
About You
We're looking for an established Commercial Manager with experience delivering
major EPC, energy or infrastructure projects
.
Strong experience across
lump-sum contracts, head contracts, major subcontracts, claims, variations, EOTs and commercial risk
will be important.
Experience within
renewables, transmission, substations or utilities
would be highly regarded, although solid Tier 1 infrastructure backgrounds are equally relevant.
The position will be
predominantly Brisbane based
, with travel to the project site as required.
