You'll be part of the team that authorises, creates, upholds and improves the standards across a large organisation, sit at the table with the decision makers.
In this role, you'll:
Provide technical leadership, assurance and expert advice for road design and road safety assets across Transport's multimodal road network.
Lead the development, review and implementation of engineering standards, specifications and guidelines and asset management initiatives in a complex environment balancing safety, resilience, performance and compliance.
Manage technical investigations, risk assessments, concessions and assurance activities to ensure to support safe, reliable and productive transport outcomes.
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including subject matter experts, industry, Austroads and government agencies, to drive continuous improvement and national harmonisation of engineering practices.

About you
Tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering or a related discipline, with demonstrated experience in road design, road safety, traffic engineering, infrastructure asset management or related fields.




Strong understanding of engineering standards, specifications, assurance processes and risk-based decision-making, ideally within a road or transport environment.
Ability to provide credible technical leadership and influence outcomes through collaboration, stakeholder engagement and clear communication.
Experience developing, interpreting or applying standards, technical guidance or engineering policies, and translating technical requirements into practical outcomes.
