About Central Cleaning Supplies
Central Cleaning Supplies (CCS) is one of Australia's leading distributors of cleaning materials, chemicals, hygiene solutions and commercial cleaning equipment.
Our Service Department supports a wide range of commercial and industrial customers across Victoria and nationally.
Due to continued growth, we are looking for an experienced and motivatedService Technicianto join our team based in Melbourne's western suburbs.
About the Opportunity
This is a varied and hands-on position working with a wide range of commercial cleaning equipment, including:
Commercial sweepers
Scrubbers and scrubber-dryers
Commercial vacuums
Pressure washers
Steam cleaners
Battery-powered cleaning equipment
Buggies and utility equipment
Other commercial and industrial cleaning machinery
The role will involve a combination ofworkshop-based repairs, customer site visits, installations, servicing, diagnostics and breakdown repairs.
We are looking for someone who enjoys problem-solving, working with their hands and providing a high level of service to customers.
Key Responsibilities
Installation & Commissioning
Install and commission current cleaning equipment.
Ensure equipment is correctly set up, tested and operating safely.
Provide customers with basic operational advice and training.
Servicing & Preventative Maintenance
Complete scheduled servicing and preventative maintenance.




Carry out inspections and identify potential faults before they become major issues.
Maintain equipment to a high standard of reliability and performance.
Diagnostics & Repairs
Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults.
Repair and maintain a wide range of commercial cleaning equipment.
Attend customer sites to complete breakdown repairs and service work.
Complete workshop repairs when required.
Identify parts and components required to complete repairs.
Customer Service
Communicate professionally with customers and provide clear updates on work being completed.
Provide technical advice and recommendations.
Represent CCS professionally when attending customer sites.
Administration & Documentation
Complete service reports and job documentation accurately to ensure the administration team has the information required to communicate effectively with the client.
Record parts used, repairs completed and recommendations.
Maintain accurate service records and follow company procedures.
What We're Looking For
The successful candidate will ideally have:
Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude.
Previous experience as a field service technician, mechanic, fitter, electrician or similar trade.
Experience diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical equipment.
Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills.




Good communication and customer service skills.
The ability to work independently and manage daily service requirements.
A qualified approach when dealing with customers.
A willingness to learn and work across a variety of equipment and brands.
A current Australian driver's licence.
Experience with commercial cleaning equipment, pressure washers, sweepers or scrubbers is highly regarded, but is not essential.
Training will be provided to the right candidate who demonstrates the right mechanical aptitude, attitude and willingness to learn.
