Speech Pathologist | Aged Care | Maitland & Lake Macquarie
This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing allied health team within a well-established not-for-profit organisation that is investing heavily in the expansion of its allied health services across Newcastle, Lake Macquarie and surrounding regions.
You will work across the aged care side, supporting clients in residential facilities and home care packages. There is also the opportunity to work with NDIS participants, depending on your area of interest, with flexibility to shape your caseload around your strengths and preferred working workplace.
The Role
As a Speech Pathologist, you will support older adults across a varied caseload, including communication, swallowing, mealtime management and functional speech pathology support. You may also have the opportunity to support NDIS participants, including teens and young adults with communication needs, speech development, stuttering, AAC and functional assessments.
This role would suit someone who enjoys autonomy, variety and being part of a supportive allied health team that is still growing and evolving.

About The Team
You will be joining a growing allied health service that currently includes Speech Pathologists, Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Behaviour Support Practitioners, Allied Health Assistants and Clinical Psychologists.
The organisation has already brought on multiple allied health practitioners this year and has strong growth plans across both aged care and disability services. A larger office and clinic space is also planned within the next 12 months, creating more opportunity for collaboration, treatment rooms and team-based care.
About You
You may come from an aged care, disability, community, NDIS or mixed caseload background.
You will need to be comfortable working autonomously in the community and aged care settings
You will ideally have:
Tertiary qualification in Speech Pathology
SPA membership or eligibility
Experience or interest in aged care, home care, community or NDIS
Confidence supporting adult communication and swallowing needs
Current driver's licence
