As the business continues to expand and evolve, it is investing in a significant pipeline of strategic projects, transformation initiatives and operational improvements.
This role will provide the financial insight, commercial challenge and governance needed to support those investments and ensure they deliver measurable value.
Partnering with transformation leaders, corporate functions and business units across the organisation, you will help shape business cases, evaluate investment decisions and track financial performance throughout the project lifecycle.
This is a broad and influential commercial role.
You will work closely with executives, finance leaders and project teams, turning complex financial and operational information into transparent recommendations.
You will also strengthen the processes, controls and reporting frameworks used to assess investments, monitor performance and track returns.
Key responsibilities Provide strategic finance business partnering across transformation initiatives, corporate functions and broader business operations Develop financial plans, annual budgets and rolling forecasts aligned with business priorities Build and review investment appraisals, project financials,
capital plans and NPV/ROI models Challenge business cases and underlying assumptions, identifying financial risks, opportunities and potential value leakage Strengthen financial governance across the project lifecycle, including investment gates, performance reporting and benefits realisation Present commercial insights and actionable recommendations to the CFO, executives and senior decision-makers Skills and experience Significant experience in commercial finance, finance business partnering, project finance or investment analysis Strong commercial acumen and the ability to translate operational drivers, customer value and business assumptions into financial outcomes Advanced Excel modelling skills across investment appraisal, NPV, ROI, capital planning and scenario analysis Experience supporting major projects, transformation programs or investment pipelines, ideally within a complex, capital-intensive environment Strong planning, budgeting and forecasting capability An understanding of project governance, advantages tracking, financial controls and the flow of project data through reporting systems Highly developed analytical, critical-thinking and problem-solving skills Executive-level communication and presentation skills, with the ability to make complex concepts easy to understand The confidence and credibility to influence, enable and constructively challenge senior stakeholders A relevant qualification such as CA, CPA or equivalent will be highly regarded This opportunity will suit a commercially driven finance professional seeking high visibility, genuine influence and the opportunity to shape major investment and transformation outcomes during an exciting period of growth.
