$79,419 - $113,301 per annum
Psychologist:
$83,670 - $122,465 per annum

Where you'll be working
You will be part of the Integrated Violence Prevention & Response Service (IVPRS) based at Blacktown Community Health Centre, supporting individuals and families affected by violence, abuse and neglect. IVPRS provides specialist services across sexual assault, domestic violence and child protection, focusing on early intervention, advocacy and therapeutic support.

What you'll be doing
As the Referral Management and Early Support Counsellor, you will play a critical role in managing referrals and providing early intervention services to individuals impacted by sexual assault. You will deliver trauma-informed assessments,



counselling and advocacy while collaborating with internal teams and external partners to ensure coordinated care.
Manage sexual assault referrals from initial contact through to service allocation
Conduct comprehensive assessments for children, young people and adults
Provide short-term counselling, advocacy and case management to victim-survivors and families
Work collaboratively with violence, abuse and neglect services to support integrated care
Participate in a 24-hour on-call roster responding to recent sexual assault presentations
Qualifications and Selection Criteria
Qualification: Tertiary qualification in Social Work, Psychology or Counselling
Registration: Eligibility for appropriate qualified registration or association membership
1. Tertiary qualification (minimum bachelor?s degree) in Social Work, Psychology, Counselling or Graduate Certificate in Human & Community Services (Interpersonal Trauma) and eligibility for appropriate professional registration or association membership
2. Demonstrated experience in complex trauma and trauma informed practice, preferably within a Violence, Abuse & Neglect (e.g. sexual assault, child protection or domestic violence) or related setting
3. Demonstrated assessment and case management skills with children, young people and adults
4. Demonstrated understanding of the inter-related dynamics and effects of sexual assault, physical abuse and neglect and domestic violence and a commitment to integrated models for working with clients who have experienced trauma and abuse
5. Demonstrated understanding of intergenerational trauma and the principles of cultural safety, with experience in (or commitment to) providing culturally responsive services to individuals and families
6. Demonstrated interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills and demonstrated capacity to work with in collaboration and partnership with a wide range of key internal and external stakeholders
7. Knowledge and understanding of the legal systems, legislation and policies & procedures relating to violence, abuse and neglect
8. Current NSW Driver's License
