Yard hand
We are seeking a customer-focused Yard Hand to join our Northgate site. Reporting to the Yard Supervisor, you will be part of a dynamic team responsible for sorting, grading, purchasing and processing scrap metal.
This is a hands-on role offering full training, development opportunities and job security.
What you'll be doing:
Deliver exceptional customer service to all visitors and customers.
Load and unload trucks, skip bins and trailers using a forklift.
Accurately sort and grade scrap metal materials.
Assist with purchasing and processing scrap metal.
Maintain a secure, clean and organised work environment.
Follow all OH&S; policies and environmental guidelines.
What you'll bring:
Experience in a yard or labouring environment
Strong customer service skills and a commitment to providing a positive customer experience.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
A positive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop new skills.
Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic.
A valid Forklift Licence is highly desirable.
