Role Overview
Seeking an experienced
Purchaser
to manage day-to-day procurement activities for a major infrastructure project. The role will coordinate local sourcing, supplier engagement, purchase orders, expediting and delivery of materials, equipment, consumables and services.
Key Responsibilities
Manage
local procurement, RFQs, quotations and purchase orders
.
Source and negotiate with suppliers for
competitive pricing and delivery
.
Track and expedite orders to meet
project and site requirements
.
Coordinate with
Warehouse, Engineering, Logistics and Finance
on procurement needs.
Maintain procurement records and ensure
compliance with purchasing procedures
.




Required Skills & Experience
5+ years' experience in
purchasing/procurement
, preferably in construction, infrastructure, energy, mining or heavy industry.
Strong experience with
RFQs, supplier evaluation, negotiations, purchase orders and expediting
.
Experience using
SAP or other ERP/procurement systems
.
Robust commercial awareness and supplier management skills.
Advanced organisational, communication and Excel skills.
Experience with major infrastructure or construction projects is highly desirable.
