About the role
The Centennial Hotel is seeking a
Food & Beverage Attendant
to join our hospitality team in Gulgong, NSW. This is a
casual position
that offers flexibility whilst delivering exceptional service to our guests. As a Food & Beverage Attendant, you will be the friendly face of our establishment, responsible for creating memorable experiences through attentive service, attention to detail, and a genuine passion for hospitality. This role is essential to maintaining the high standards our guests expect and contributes directly to the success and reputation of the hotel.
Key responsibilities
Greeting guests with a warm welcome and seating them promptly in the bar or dining areas
Taking food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently, making recommendations where appropriate
Serving food and drinks to guests in a professional and courteous manner
Clearing tables promptly and maintaining a clean, organised dining and bar environment
Processing payments and handling transactions with accuracy and integrity
Restocking bar and dining areas with necessary supplies, glassware, cutlery and crockery
Maintaining knowledge of menu items, specials and beverage offerings to assist guests
Responding to guest inquiries and requests with professionalism and a positive attitude
Adhering to food safety and hygiene standards at all times
Supporting team members to ensure smooth service operations during busy periods
What we're looking for
Prior experience in a hospitality, bar or restaurant workplace is advantageous but not essential for enthusiastic candidates
Excellent communication skills and a genuine interest in providing outstanding customer service




The ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, particularly during peak service times
Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
A positive, professional attitude and willingness to learn
Flexibility and reliability, with availability to work varied shifts including evenings and weekends
Knowledge of responsible service of alcohol or willingness to obtain training
Basic numeracy skills for handling transactions and till operations
