What this role is all about
n
We are seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our Brisbane office. This is an opportunity to work in a supportive, high-performing environment alongside dynamic professionals, contributing to projects across Defence, Health, Education and Infrastructure.
n
You'll be part of a national team operating under our One Lucid ethos, giving you exposure to a broad range of projects and the opportunity to collaborate across offices. This role suits someone who enjoys technical delivery, mentoring others, and contributing to high-quality project outcomes.

How you'll contribute day-to-day
n
n
Deliver mechanical design, documentation and consulting across a range of projects
n
Work closely with clients, engineers and internal teams to ensure successful project outcomes
n
Support and mentor emerging engineers through coaching and technical guidance
n
Undertake calculations, system design and documentation across HVAC & building services systems
n
Apply Australian Standards, NCC and relevant codes across all project work
n
Carry out QA reviews of engineering work prior to issue
n
Prepare technical specifications, reports and project documentation
n
Support project delivery including budgeting,



coordination and site inspections
n
Engage with clients, contractors and suppliers throughout project lifecycles
n
Represent Lucid at meetings and industry events
n

What sets you up for success
n
n
Has 8+ years' experience in building services mechanical engineering
n
Holds an Australian-recognised Mechanical Engineering or Building Services degree
n
Holds RPEQ or working towards it.
n
Communicates clearly and confidently, both written and verbal
n
Brings a robust team mindset and enjoys working collaboratively
n
Is detail-focused with a commitment to quality and continuous improvement
n
Has experience with QA processes and engineering standards
n
Understands NCC/BCA and Australian Standards requirements
n
Is working toward or has achieved Chartered status (preferred)
n
Has experience with AutoCAD and ideally Revit/BIM workflows
n
Experience with hydronic systems and HVAC upgrades is preferable
n
Holds Australian Citizenship or permanent working rights
n
