We are seeking a
Bookkeeper / Assistant Accountant
to join our successful South Melbourne-based team. This is an outstanding opportunity for a motivated finance professional who thrives in a fast paced environment and enjoys taking ownership of their work.
As a key member of our business, you will play an integral role in supporting the day-to-day financial operations across multiple entities. We are looking for someone who is proactive, detail-oriented, reliable, and enjoys being the go to person within a busy office environment.
Key Responsibilities
Processing transactions and maintaining financial records in Xero across multiple entities
Managing accounts receivable, including rent collections, property-related income, and management fees
Liaising with debtors and creditors to ensure timely payments and account resolution
Performing monthly bank reconciliations across multiple entities
Preparing and maintaining balance sheet reconciliations
Assisting with month-end and year-end financial processes
Reconciling corporate credit card transactions
Maintaining accurate filing and financial records
Providing administrative and accounting support to the wider team as required
About You
Some experience in a Bookkeeper or Assistant Accountant role
Xero experience and sound knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills
The ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
A proactive approach with the confidence to work independently
High levels of integrity, professionalism, and accountability
Strong communication skills and a team-focused attitude
A genuine willingness to support colleagues and contribute to a positive workplace culture
