Key Responsibilities

Weighing, preparing and processing samplesProcess samples through various methods Basic maintenance, troubleshooting and calibration laboratory instrumentsMaintain good laboratory housekeepingUndertake tasks as requested by the laboratory supervisor/managerPerform Safety walks, inspections, audits and other tasks related to safetyFollow and adhere to laboratory SOP's and safety practicesMeet quality, TATs and KPI's required for the role

About You

Previous experience working in a Geoanalytical or Minerals LaboratoryExperience of inorganic chemistry laboratory techniquesAt least 1 years experience as a Laboratory Technician or equivalentExperience with ICP-MS and/or ICP-OES equipment is highly regardedAn understanding of the basic QA/QC procedures in a LaboratoryGood verbal and numerical reasoning skillsA methodical, well organised approach to your workBe willing to work as part of a team in a production environment, with a high focus on quality & safety

Roster

Weekly rotational shift rosterDay shift – 6.00am-2.00pmAfternoon shift – 2.00pm-*****pmFull availability across all shifts is requiredRoster may change to 9 hours shifts in future to meet business requirements
