About the role
360 Automation is an international company with offices in the UK and Australia, and one of the fastest growing and most progressive machine tool distributors in the industry. We supply CNC machinery, laser cutting systems, press brakes, and industrial automation equipment to manufacturers and fabricators across Australia.
We're looking for a CNC Service Technician to join our service team, delivering, installing and commissioning machine tools at customer sites across Australia. You'll be the face of 360 Automation once a machine leaves our warehouse, the person who gets it running, gets the customer trained up, and makes sure they're confident and self-sufficient on their new equipment.
What you'll be doing
Conducting pre-delivery inspections on CNC machines prior to dispatch, checking mechanical, electrical and functional performance against specification
Installing and commissioning CNC machine tools in office at customer premises, including levelling, power-up, geometry checks and test cuts
Training customers on machine operation, basic maintenance and control system use, so they get real value from day one




Diagnosing and resolving mechanical, electrical and control-related faults during installation and service visits
Liaising with our sales team, service coordinator and international suppliers to keep jobs moving and customers informed
Maintaining accurate installation reports, service records and customer documentation
What we're looking for
Demonstrated experience with Siemens and/or Fanuc CNC control systems
Trade qualification in mechanical, electrical or mechatronic engineering, or equivalent hands‐on experience
Strong fault-finding skills across mechanical and electrical systems
A confident, patient communicator, comfortable training customers of varying technical ability
Willingness to travel to customer sites, including regional and interstate locations
Current driver's licence
