Salary range: $69,855 – $81,183 per annum + superannuation
Do you enjoy working outdoors, operating machinery and seeing the results of your work make a real difference in the community?
We're seeking an experienced Excavator Operator to join our Urban Services & Facilities team in Dunedoo. You'll help deliver roads, drainage, footpaths and key infrastructure. Day‐to‐day work includes civil construction and maintenance, operating a variety of plant and attachments, supporting trades teams, completing pre‐start checks and daily servicing, and respectfully undertaking grave digging duties when required.
You'll work in a supportive, close‐knit crew known for teamwork, safety, and quality outcomes. Additional plant tickets, HR licence, traffic control accreditation, First Aid and/or local government experience are highly regarded.
Selection criteria include:
Proven experience safely and competently operating excavators in road construction, maintenance or related civil works (essential)
Knowledge of and commitment to safe work practices, WHS legislation and environmental requirements
Ability to work effectively as part of a team, supporting trades staff and crew members
Sound communication skills with the ability to follow instructions and maintain effective relationships




Physical fitness and ability to undertake manual labouring duties when required
Current NSW Class C Driver Licence
Construction White Card (General Construction Induction)
Highly regarded:
Relevant plant operator tickets and competency certificates
Experience in local government, civil construction or utilities
Experience in grave digging and/or Safe Grave Digging training
Traffic control tickets
First Aid Certificate

Council's usual practice is to appoint at the entry salary for the grade; a higher commencing salary may be approved based on directly relevant qualifications, skills and experience.
