About the role
Holy Rosary School is seeking a dynamic, cutting-edge and faith-filled Assistant Principal to join our leadership team.
This is an exciting opportunity for an accomplished professional educator who is passionate about leading high-impact teaching and learning, fostering student wellbeing, and shaping a culture of excellence grounded in our Catholic faith.
The successful applicant will demonstrate a deep understanding of the Science of Learning, evidence-based teaching practices, and contemporary approaches to student wellbeing.
They will be driven to lead school improvement initiatives that enhance both academic achievement and the flourishing of every child, while nurturing our vision that all students achieve their personal best and experience a solid sense of wellbeing and belonging.
Holy Rosary School is a vibrant, co-educational double-stream primary school located in Doubleview, catering for approximately 490 students from Pre-Kindergarten to Year 6.
Our school enjoys a strong reputation for academic excellence, pastoral care, and meaningful partnerships between home, school and parish.
Key responsibilities
Contribute strategically to whole-school improvement and school priorities
Lead curriculum improvement, particularly in Literacy and Numeracy, using evidence-based practices
Lead Professional Learning Communities (PLCs) that promote collaboration, accountability and student achievement
Support student wellbeing, inclusion and positive behaviour support
Build positive relationships across the school,
parish and wider community
Selection Criteria
Active membership of the Catholic Church and a commitment to living Gospel values within the Catholic ethos and mission of the school
Proven leadership experience with the capacity to contribute strategically to whole-school improvement and school priorities
Experience leading curriculum improvement, particularly in Literacy and Numeracy, using evidence-based practices
Success in leading Professional Learning Communities (PLCs) that promote collaboration, accountability and student achievement
A strong commitment to student wellbeing, inclusion and positive behaviour support
Excellent knowledge and application of the Science of Learning
Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships across the school, parish and wider community
Qualifiations
CEWA Accreditation to Lead
Relevant tertiary qualifications (essential)
Assistant Principal leadership experience (desirable)

Seven or more years of teaching experience
