DFP Recruitment is seeking an experienced WHS Project/Policy Officer to join a South Australian Government team on a temporary contract through to the end of December 2026.
This is an excellent opportunity for a WHS professional with strong project coordination, policy development and written communication skills to contribute to a range of important workplace health and safety initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the development, review and implementation of WHS policies, procedures and projects.
- Research and interpret legislation, regulations and relevant WHS requirements.
- Prepare high-quality reports, briefing materials, correspondence and documentation.
- Provide project coordination and administrative support across WHS initiatives.
- Undertake research and analysis to support policy and project outcomes.
- Engage with internal stakeholders and provide explicit, accurate information and advice.
- Maintain a high level of attention to detail and ensure documentation is accurate and compliant.
About You:
- Demonstrated experience in WHS, policy, project or compliance environments.
- Strong understanding of WHS legislation, policy and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent written communication and report-writing skills.
- Strong research, analytical and legislative interpretation capabilities.
- Proven ability to coordinate projects and manage competing priorities.
- High level of attention to detail and a proactive approach to work.
- Previous South Australian Government experience will be highly regarded.
